Surtees Boats designed by Neil Surtees back in the early 1990’s have become an iconic brand here in New Zealand and overseas.

The factory (still at the original site near Whakatane) is a major employer for the eastern bay with over 35 staff producing boats from the popular 4.7m model to their flag ship 7.3m model; at present a boat is produced every 5.8 hours.

Surtees Boats designed primarily for fishing are known for their soft riding hull, stability, ballast system and strong construction.

Surtees Boats are exported to Australia and the Pacific Islands and have won more awards than any other manufacturer at the Hutchwilco NZ Boat Show.
