Welcome to the Whakatane Observatory and Astronomical Society, the only Observatory / Planetarium in Whakatane.
This is a must do night-time activity in Whakatane. Get a great view of the southern skies through our 35.50cm celestron and 25.4cm Meade instruments.
The observatory is open, subject to weather on Tuesday and Friday nights from 7.30pm. Other nights by arrangement. Opening times may vary according to the time of year.
