The W.V.F.B is in the process of organizing its Centenary, serving our community for 100 years, turning out to fires, flooding, tornados, rope rescues, motor vehicle accidents, medical calls, and even rescuing cats and horses.
100 years comes about on the 25th of May 2013. and registration with the United Fire Brigade Association took place on the 17th of November 1913.
To celebrate this milestone the Brigade is organizing a reunion this coming Labour weekend, but a lot of work needs to be done in the mean time, of tracking down past members and old records.

The Whakatane Volunteer Fire Brigade will be celebrating their 100 year Centenary at Labour Weekend 2013.  Planning is under way and we would like to hear from you if you are interested in attending this celebration weekend.
