Trust Horizon Light Up Whakatane returns for its fifth year, transforming the town with light and creativity during the winter season.

Over eight nights, Whakatane comes alive with light art installations, sculptures, and digital displays from local and regional artists, spread throughout the town centre and riverfront. On Saturday 11 July, a special community night will also feature live music, dance, and entertainment.

This much-loved event is a collaboration between Arts Whakatane, the EPIC town centre group, and Whakatane District Council, bringing together locals and visitors to celebrate art, culture, and connection through light.
