Opening at Te Koputu a te Whanga a Toi, Whakatane Art Gallery, this exhibition brings together 12 Ngati Awa artists alongside taonga from the Whakatane Museum collection.

Inspired by the waiata tangi Te Tangi a Tamapahore, the works explore whakapapa, ancestral pathways, and how kōrero tuku iho continues to shape contemporary art practice. Through this powerful presentation, mahi toi and taonga are brought into conversation across time and perspective.
