When asked about her favourite travel memory, Jay lights up as she reflects on a special trip to Fiji to celebrate her mum’s 60th birthday. “We spent four days on the Coral Coast before joining a seven-night cruise through the Yasawa Islands with 20 friends and family,” she recalls. “Everything was incredible—the staff, the food, the scenery—and the warmth of the Fijian people, with their singing and dancing, created such a joyful atmosphere. Mum still has a photo from that trip on her fridge more than 20 years later. It was a holiday filled with laughter, love, and memories we’ll always treasure.”

Jay also has a passion for ultra-luxury stays, including a particularly unforgettable experience at Fairmont Château Lake Louise in the Canadian Rockies. “Waking up to a frozen lake shimmering like glass, surrounded by snow-covered peaks, and enjoying hot chocolate by the fire—it felt like stepping into a postcard,” she says.

Looking ahead, Jay’s travel bucket list includes an African safari and a stay at the iconic giraffe hotel, where guests can share breakfast with roaming giraffes. “Experiencing a luxury safari and seeing wildlife in its natural environment would be amazing,” she says. “I’d also love time to unwind on stunning beaches while connecting with local culture—music, dancing, and authentic experiences. And of course, I’d want to enjoy it all with a touch of luxury.”

Her top travel tip perfectly reflects her approach: “Stay flexible and open to the unexpected. While planning is important, the most memorable moments are often the ones you didn’t plan. Let go of perfection and allow the journey to unfold naturally—those are the experiences you’ll remember most.”
