The Ōhiwa Oyster Festival returns to Port Ōhope Wharf for a full day celebrating fresh local seafood, live music, and coastal flavours. Held on the stunning Ōhiwa Harbour, this annual event marks the beginning of oyster season with a vibrant festival atmosphere.

The 2026 lineup features live performances from House of Shem, Maisey Rika, Taylah, and Shelley Akuhata, alongside chef demonstrations, seafood tastings, and a special seafood and wine pairing experience with MasterChef winners Kasey and Karena Bird.

Festival-goers can enjoy fresh Ōhiwa oysters, local food vendors, craft beverages, competitions, spot prizes, and entertainment throughout the day.

New additions for 2026 include an upgraded VIP experience, expanded tasting sessions, more food and drink offerings, and an enhanced festival layout.
