Entries are now open for the birdsAplenty Photo Competition, an annual event that aims to promote the beauty and encourage the appreciation of the birds found in the Whakatāne District’s environment.
Categories:
1 – BIRDS OF THE WHAKATANE HARBOUR: Open to photographic images taken in the areas between the Whakatane Bridge and the Whakatane Heads including adjoining parks appreciating the birds found in our Whakatane harbour environment. Open to all age groups.
2 – BIRDS OF NZ: A photograph of any wild New Zealand Bird. Open to all age groups.
3 – YOUTH EYES VIEW: For entrants 0-18 years old images of NZ birds from our budding young photographers.
Entries:
Must be submitted as Digital Images with a maximum number of two entries per category (a maximum of 6 images per entrant). The image must have been taken by the entrant with the entrant being the sole copyright holder.
Digital Images:
Maximum file size= 6MB. We recommend the resolution to be 240 to 300 PPI. Aim for around 2500 – 3000 pixels on the longest side. Depending on your email provider's limits you may need to send individually.
