Dyslexia Bay Of Plenty School Holiday Assessment Special

Dyslexia Bay Of Plenty have a WIAT-lll educational assessement special available starting 8 July 2019.
25% off WIAT-lll assessment special price of $ 262.50 (instead of $ 350.00), limited places available.
The WIAT-lll is a broader educational assessment that identifies where the student's abilities lie across educational domains, and over the whole academic spectrum (this includes listening comprehension, oral expression, reading, writing and math). Individual sub-tests can be administered to explore specific areas more deeply, for example if the student is specifically lacking phonological awareness, reading comprehension or specifically writing, additional sub-tests can be added. This allows ways to identify patterns of strengths and weaknesses.
It is now no longer a requirement to have a diagnosis of dyslexia to qualify for reader / writer or extra time, even in NCEA exams - the focus is now more on establishing a history of the student's learning challenges. A psychometric test like the WIAT-lll establishes that history, and is a good alternative to the more more expensive Woodcock-Johnson WJ-lV.
The assessment takes around 2 - 2.5 hrs and is done in Whakatane.
